Obituary of Herberth Medrano

Herberth Medrano, 52, of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on October 11, 2023. Born in El Carmen, La Union, El Salvador, he was the son of the late Manuel Lino and Rosa Medrano. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar and Carlos Medrano. Herberth leaves behind his sisters Rosa Melgar of Houston, Texas, Ana Medrano of Providence, Rhode Island, Rosa Medrano of Providence, Rhode Island, and his brother Mardo Medrano of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind seven sons and three daughters, many nieces and nephews, and twelve grandchildren, with another one on the way. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Herberth worked in construction and landscaping for most of his life. In the last few years, he unfortunately had to step away from working since he was dealing with dialysis; he had finally reached second or third on the kidney transplant list by the time of his death. In his free time, Herberth loved to help friends with any projects they had, listen to music, watch soccer, go fishing, ride his bike, and work on his own random personal projects. He was a strong person with a soft soul, and he will be missed by everyone who loved him. A service will be held Friday, October 20, 2023, from 5 pm - 8 pm in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be at North Burial Ground on October 21, 2023, meeting at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, at 10 am and heading to the burial ground from there. Herberth Medrano, de 52 años, de Providence Rhode Island, falleció el 11 de octubre de 2023. Nacido en El Carmen, La Unión, El Salvador, era hijo del fallecido Manuel Lino y Rosa Medrano. Además de sus padres, le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos Oscar y Carlos Medrano. Herberth deja atrás a sus hermanas Rosa Melgar de Houston, Texas, Ana Medrano de Providence, Rhode Island, Rosa Medrano de Providence, Rhode Island y su hermano Mardo Medrano de Houston, Texas. También deja siete hijos y tres hijas, muchos sobrinos y sobrinas y doce nietos con otro en camino. Era un querido padre, hermano, tío y amigo. Herberth trabajó en la construcción y el paisajismo durante la mayor parte de su vida. Los últimos años lamentablemente tuvo que dejar de trabajar porque estaba lidiando con diálisis; finalmente había alcanzado el segundo o tercer lugar en la lista de trasplantes de riñón en el momento de su muerte. En su tiempo libre, a Herberth le encantaba ayudar a sus amigos con cualquier proyecto que tuvieran, escuchar música, ver fútbol, ir a pescar, andar en bicicleta y trabajar en sus propios proyectos personales aleatorios. Era una persona fuerte con un alma suave y todos los que lo amaban lo extrañarán. Se llevará a cabo un servicio el viernes 20 de octubre de 2023 de 5 p. m. a 8 p. m. en Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence.
