John was a wonderful man. I've seen and spoken with him dozens of time at the ReStore. I, too, am a Habitat volunteer on the construction sites. I am so sorry about his passing and send my sincerest regards, especially to his mother.

john and i worked together on many of the same projects at work - over a 30+ year career there. when john started volunteering with waterfire, he quickly found his metier with the photography group. he never looked back. at every waterfire, he always stopped by the guest boat dock (where i volunteer) to say "Hi!". we would talk a bit and he would take off to get some great photos of the evening. his eye for composition showed brilliantly in his photographs. his outgoing persona made him a friend to many people at waterfire. i will sorely miss you, john. all the best to you!

I will miss John and working with him at WaterFire. John was wonderful always stopping to talk to me and taking pictures at every event I was volunteering at. I will deeply miss John and will never forget him. RIP my dear friend
