Obituary of Lela Thomas

Lela L. Thomas, 54, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jose Clarence-Holmes and Marcella Richardson.

Lela enjoyed cooking, feeding, and taking care of others. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her kids. Above all else, Lela was a devoted and loving mother who would do anything for her children. She is survived by her loving children, Todd(34) of Rhode Island, Shanna(32), Teshaun(29), Keya (Lakeya) (28), Anwar(25), Antonia(23), Isaiah(18), Destyni(16) all of Massachusetts and Nehemiah(15) of Valdesta, GA. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, Shontell, Milton, and Norman, all of Massachusetts, and cherished grandchildren, DeShaun, Diego, Tru, Ivy, Rashad, and Daniel.

Visiting hours will be Friday, September 9, from 9:30am - 11:30am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30am from the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground.
