Dear Katherine, Laurie and Danny,
Where do I begin? I am so heartbroken and devastated at your Mom's sudden passing. For so many years I always wondered who my Conley cousins were and if they were in RI. It was a missing piece of my grandmother's life that I never knew about other than that she had two sisters Catherine and Maryellen who moved to RI. That was where the story ended. Hence, many years later
I sign onto Ancestry and looked high and low for Catherine and Maryellen and any information that I can find as well as their ancestors and I connected with your Mom. I was nervous and beyond excited to finally find the missing piece of the family puzzle. The minute I met your Mom, I felt like an instant connection and that I was looking at my grandmother. Your Mom was instantly warm and loving and embraced me as I did her. I was so happy that I cried tears of joy to finally see my Mom's first cousin from the Conley family. Since then,I have talked to her almost weekly not only about the family ancestry and her life. She also would talk SO MUCH about her children and grandchildren and I LOVED hearing about all of you and looked forward to meeting all of you. Finally in May, we were able to get together. The only missing piece to the puzzle that night was Danny. I had such a wonderful night and enjoyed meeting all of you and spending the short amount of time we had. I will be forever be grateful to finally connect with your Mom and all of you. I only wish that we could have had more time. I know that she said that she still had a lot to do and didn't want to go anywhere and I didn't want her to go anywhere either. We were just getting started and I wanted to help her connect the rest of the Conley ancestry puzzle pieces.
I know that your Mom is now at peace and with her beloved Gus as well as the rest of her family. During this difficult time, wrap yourselves in all of the warm memories. Your Mom was such a bright light here and she will be watching over all of you. With My Deepest Sympathy and Love, Natalie Marrino

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this. Lorraine was my friend......she was strong, confident, loving, caring and so many other words that I can not express. She always put other people first.....She loved her kids so much and her grandchildren were so close to her heart. A light shines in heaven on this day......to shine down on the people who are left behind with sadness. But her light will always be bright......that just is who she was. I miss and love you dear friend. love Barbara
