Obituary of Steven Rodney Brown

Steven Rodney Brown, affectionately known as “Steady,”; entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, RI. Steven was born in Providence, RI, on October 31, 1958, to the late Mr. Tilden Francis Brown Sr. and Mrs. Katherine (Clark) Brown. He was a graduate of Central High School. Employed for many years in the trucking industry. His most recent driving position was with Mava Transportation & Logistics. An aficionado of the drums and music enthusiast. Steven played with numerous bands in Rhode Island as well as throughout the United States. Other than his love of music, he was a buffalo soldier and rode his Harley Davidson all over the country, meeting with other riders and musicians and enjoying life to the fullest. One of Steven’s joys was his cat “Toby.” Always well dressed in his bowtie, that would have made him the “Great Meow.” Besides his mother, Mrs. Katherine Brown, he leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Regina (Gomes) Brown; one son Brandon Brown and his fiancée Tiela Ceresi; a nephew Stefan Troy Brown with whom he was raised and loved as a brother; and two grandchildren Alijah and Mila with whom he shared his heart. Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Tilden Francis Brown Jr., We will forever carry with us his kind, gentle spirit and warm, inviting smile. He will be sorely missed by many family members, friends, and relations. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI, from 11:00am - 1:00pm, followed by a Service at 1:00pm.
