Obituary of Enrique H. Sanchez

Enrique H. Sanchez Mora, 69, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:11am in Providence, RI after courageously battling with Alzheimer’s for many years.

He was born on January 11, 1950 in Piaxtla, Puebla, Mexico. Enrique was the son of late Enrique Sanchez de la Vega and late Maria Mora Gracia. He was one of 12 children and is survived by his wife Maria Guadalupe Sanchez Villasenor, his 5 sons, Enrique Sanchez, Juan Gabriel Sanchez, Enrique Sanchez,Jr., Ivan Sanchez, and Juan M. Sanchez, and 17 grandchildren.

Enrique, known as “Don Quique” to the local community, opened the first Mexican Food Market/Tortilleria “Tortilleria Sanchez” in Rhode Island in 1988, where he faithfully worked for 25 years.

Enrique was incredibly generous and loving throughout his life and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.   

Enrique’s viewing hours will be held Friday, May 17, 2019, from 5-9 PM. His funeral will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9:30 AM from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Cranston.
