Obituary of Doris LaPrade

Doris Cecile (Thibodeau) LaPrade, 100, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2021. Born in Providence, Doris was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Payette) Thibodeau. Doris was the wife of the late Adelard J. Laprade. She worked for the former Walcotts as a sales clerk for 32 years before her retirement in 1982. Doris was a former member of the Saint Ann Sodality and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She was also a member of the Golden Agers and North Providence Senior Citizens. She is survived by her sons Dennis and David LaPrade, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is the grandmother of the late Joseph LaPrade and sister of the late Joseph Thibodeau, Jr. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, in the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave, Providence, from 9am to 10am. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 10:30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes memorial fund.
