Obituary of Pearl Dorothy Elderkin

Heaven is proud to announce the newest arrival Pearl Dorothy (Dot) Elderkin, the arrival time of 1:45 pm in the year of our Lord March 27, 2021, at the age of 101 (1/24/1920); she will be met with open arms by her loving husband, Rev. Claude Elderkin. She has gone to join her family waiting for her, Grand Parents Kingston and Kathleen Clarke, Mom and Dad Fredrick and Pearl Davis, Brother Fredrick Davis, Kathleen (Kay) Davis Metts, Brother Calvin (Bunny) Davis, Brother Henry Davis, Brother Clarence Davis, Brother Albert Davis, and Sister Beatrice (Bea) Davis, Augustus, and Robert (Bobby) Davis. Those left behind, her beloved daughter C. Nina Elderkin, who held her till she took flight with the angels, and Vincent Perrotta, her chef (son-in-law) of Medford, MA, where she often stayed with her loving cat Bonnie Belle. Step-granddaughter Aimee and two great step-grandsons, Ryan and Evelyn. Her favorite sister she spoke with weekly Irena (Davis) Brannon) 98 of Atlanta. Beloved Auntie to hundreds of nieces and nephews some five generations, many friends in her neighborhood and across the country. Many Church friends of Praise Tabernacle Cranston, RI, and Union Methodist in Boston Mass. She is formerly a Member of the Providence Church of God from 1958 till it closed, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent. She worked at several companies in Providence and Cranston over the years until retiring in 1988 to be home with her husband. Pearl graduated from Aldridge High School.
Mom was a lover of Beagles and all dogs all her life; in lieu of flowers, please give to her beagle rescue organization B.O.N.E.S, she gave to this Humane Rescue for the past 30 years. Keep the love going through PAY-PAL. Place a note in the Memory of Pearl Elderkin.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Praise Tabernacle Church, 330 Park Avenue, Cranston, from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm, followed by a service at 12:30 pm.
