Obituary of Daniel Joseph Stone, Sr.

Daniel Stone Sr, 78, of Johnston, passed away on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2021, at home with his family. He was born in Providence on December 1st, 1942, to the late George Stone and Elizabeth “Flynn” Stone.
Daniel worked as a foreman at National Plating and RI Buckle for many years until retiring at 64. He was a loyal member of the Woodward Social Club and enjoyed playing cards and Nascar racing in his downtime.
Daniel is survived by his wife Valarie Stone of Johnston, his daughters Laurie Stone of Johnston, Tammy Stone of Warwick and Kelly “Stone” Britton of San Francisco, CA, along with his son Daniel Stone Jr. of Johnston and twin sister Ann “Stone” Bland of Providence. In
addition, he left behind 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Daniel was the brother of the late George Stone, John Stone, Eugene Stone, Pearl “Stone” Gamba, Grace “Stone” Robedeau, and Jean Stone.
