Obituary of Wilford Dardeen

Wilford H. “Curly” Dardeen, 94, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015. He was the husband of the late Mildred (Gladue) Dardeen. Born in Henderson, KY, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Steward) Dardeen. Wilford lived most of his life in Providence. He was an Army Sergeant in WWII. He is survived by his children, James Dardeen, Brian Dardeen, Linda Lombardi, and Jill DiDonato; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Robert Dardeen and Helen Peterson. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
