An African proverb “ It takes a village to raise a child” was something Maxine lived it. Maxine was my foster mother for 43 years and loved me unconditionally. She also loved my biological family as her own. She never missed any family milestone, from birthdays to graduation to weddings, and spent three weeks caring and helping my wife and new born child. Our youngest child is named after Maxine and was always there for her other grandchildren. We vacationed together, with the last one, less than a year ago in New York. She always wanted to explore things, and took me to places such as Disneyland to the Grand Canyon. Thank you Maxine. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the love. Thank you for my older brother, Terry, who has been there when you were nor available. Rest In Peace. We shall meet again. Love you. Your job is done.
