Obituary of Walter S. Jeschke

Walter S. Jeschke, 88, a Johnston resident for 63 years, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Beacham) Jeschke for 65 years. Born in North Providence, he was the son of the late Reinhold and Etta (Wilson) Jeschke. Walter was a WWII Army Veteran. He worked for Lutz Engineering for 38 years, retiring in 1988. Besides his wife he is survived by 3 children, Paula J. Munko and her husband John, Walter R. Jeschke and his wife Gail, and Karl M. Jeschke and his wife Susan, 1 brother, Gilbert Jeschke, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a Requiem Eucharist to be held Wednesday, April 16 at 11am in St. Peter’s & St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 25 Pomona Ave., Providence 02908. Burial with military honors will follow in Pocasset Cemetery, Cranston. Prior to the service, visiting hours will be from 9-10:30am in the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter’s & St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
