Obituary of Narciso Collado

Narciso Collado Del Rosario, 75 years old, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Hope Health Hospice Care, Providence, RI after battling Myeloma.

Narciso was born February 2, 1944 in Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana. He was the son of the late Julio Antonio Collado and Modesta Del Rosario. He was the oldest of four children. He is survived by his wife Sadra A. Collado and his two daughters, Elizabeth Collado (Myles Green), Rosangely Collado-Jones (Darron Jones), and five grandchildren, Lezlie, Darron Jr., Briana, Myles T. and Zavier.

Narciso came to the U.S in 1968 and settled in Corona Queens, NY. The following year he met and married his beloved wife Sadra. They had their first daughter in 1970 and their second daughter in 1972. Narciso worked as a line chef in Manhattan until 1982 when they moved to Providence, RI. He began working for the Homegoods Department store in the warehouse department until they relocated in 2005. He immediately began working for another warehouse in Warwick, RI and retired in 2010. He and his wife then moved to Santo Domingo to enjoy the home they built for their retirement. Narciso loved Providence so much that they returned in 2015.

Narciso was a devoted Catholic, very giving to many, lovable and devoted husband and caring father. Narciso was well known in the Dominican community and loved by many. He was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed weekly gatherings with friends eating and playing dominos.

Narciso leaves behind 3 siblings; Hector (Bronx, NY), Norma (Queens, NY), and Orquidea (Prov. RI), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many more family members throughout Providence, New York and the Dominican Republic.
