Obituary of Joseph Cappelli

Joseph Cappelli Jr, 76, of Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 23, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Tammelleo) Cappelli. Born November 25, 1937, he was the loving son of the late Joseph and Rafaella “Fannie” Cappelli. Besides his wife of 56 years, he leaves 2 sons, Joseph Cappelli and his wife Sandra, and John Cappelli and his wife Denise, and a daughter, Denise Walker and her companion John Del Padre. He also leaves 2 sisters, Mary Kane, and Judy Mooradian, and the late Carmine “Sonny” Cappelli. He was the cherished papa of 9 grandchildren, a favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
