Obituary of Robert Landi

Landi, Robert, V.,90, died Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Cherry Hill Nursing Home. He was the husband of Celia (Balkum) Landi. Born in Providence, a son of the late Nello and Anita (Stratini) Landi. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked at the Sheraton Biltmore Hotel for many years. He was employed as an accountant with the Providence Redevelopment Agency until retiring in 1995. Besides his wife he leaves a son Robert V. Landi Jr. and his wife Diane, a daughter Joanne E. Patalano and her husband Ronald, three grandchildren, Ronald Patalano Jr., Jessica Patalano, and Amy Landi. He was also the brother of the late Elena Maggio. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8PM at the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday morning at St. Anthony’s Church, 549 Plainfield St., Providence at 9AM. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
