Obituary of Richard Howarth

Howarth, Richard, 80, of Douglas Ave., North Providence, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 peacefully surrounded by his loving family in St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, MA. He was the husband of Barbara (Malkowski) Howarth.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Robert and Doris (Tiernan) Howarth.
Mr. Howarth was a member of Local 31 Asbestos Workers where he worked as a pipe coverer for 30 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Richard Jr., Paul, Kevin, and Kendra Howarth and two grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Doris Housman and was also the brother of the late Robert Howarth Jr.
His funeral will be held Friday from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence. Visitation will be Friday from 8:30 to 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave. at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Arrangements by Supinski & Borrelli.
