Obituary of Wilson F. Ramos

Wilson F. Ramos, 90, of Providence, RI, formerly of New Bedford, MA, passed away Saturday, February 1st, surrounded by his family. Born in New Bedford, he was a son of the late Macario and Rose (Fermino) Ramos. He was the brother of the late Emily Pina and Abel, Joseph, and Michael Ramos. Mr. Ramos was a retired Merchant Marine, decorated WWII veteran, and employee of the Providence School District. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Cecelia "Dottie" (Alves), daughter Glynis Ramos-Mitchell (Daniel) of Atlanta, GA, son Kim Ramos (Coleen) of Attleboro, MA, a sister, Albertina Silva, and a brother, Albert Ramos and his wife Pini, all of New Bedford; sister-in-law, Alice Andrade (Alves) of New Bedford, grandchildren Jamaal, Rayann, Robert, and Edwin, great-grandchildren Marquise, Renard, Naomi, and Isaiah, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ramos' funeral is private. Visiting hours respectfully are omitted.
